One of the plants that takes off in home gardens is mint. If you’re not careful it will take over your entire space. I learned my lesson and began planting it in pots every year instead, so hopefully you did the same. This herb is not only easy to grow, but there are many healthy benefits too. It is naturally anti-inflammatory and can help asthma and colds, aids in digestion and weight loss and can improve your skin. Oh yeah -it also freshens your breath!
For the most part I steep fresh mint in my tea using these looseleaf tea balls or I blend it into a smoothie. The handy herb shears above are great for harvesting and chopping.

This is cool! Who would have known how many recipes you can use mint with. Especially with the weather being warm, mint is always a great adition. Mojito Key Lime Bars are the top of my list.
