Living in South Jersey, you hear a lot of chatter about the Phillies. My husband and I are both North Jersey transplants, we’re both fans of the New York Yankees, and also shunned by the neighbors.
We were so excited to visit the brand new Yankee Stadium earlier this summer. It really is a site to behold for any baseball lover. America’s favorite pastime is in our genes, I guess. My father tried out for the New York Mets long before I came into the world, and once I did he taught me all of the basics of the game. I can still hear him saying, “Keep your eye on the ball!”
My husband never made it onto the Trenton Thunder (AA Affiliate of the NYY) team, but he enjoys playing with colleagues in work leagues. Between the two of us, I’m sure Emma will grow to love the game as much as we do.
