Do you suffer from seasonal allergies? I do. I’m allergic to just about everything except for pet dander/saliva. I tested positive for dust mites, ragweed, mold and pollen. The worst time for me is the spring and early summer when everything blooms and pollen is released from the trees. My car can be a painful place to be when the allergens become trapped so even if I have the windows up, I suffer.
To make matters worse, last summer I had a mouse crawl up in my car’s cabin and die. Even after I took the car in twice for cleaning and a pricey deodorizing procedure, it still doesn’t smell quite the same. I’ve been meaning to replace my air filter because I know I don’t make it a priority like I should.
I was thrilled about this campaign with FRAM Fresh Breeze cabin air filters because I knew it would give me the kick in the toosh to stop procrastinating and go get our filters. When I read that the filters are made with Arm and Hammer baking soda which can help with pollen particles and road dust, I was even more stoked. They were very reasonable in price – especially considering this rebate, so I got one for my car and one for my husband’s.
The old, yucky filter. See the flimsy construction. This is the one our dealer gave us.
Installation was just as easy as it was depicted by the FRAM video and instructions. We knew that the filter was located behind the glovebox from our unfortunate incident last summer, but this is the first time we changed it ourselves and we realized that it was too easy to pay the dealer to do it. No more!
Our old filters were flimsy compared to the FRAM Fresh Breeze – you can see instantly that this is a high quality filter. I’ve been adding reminders to my phone so I put in an alert to remind me to check my filter in six months to see if it needs changing. I’ll also follow FRAM on facebook as an added reminder ;).

Hmmm….are there filters in every car? If so, it’s something I never knew and would love to know about so I can find it and replace it.
Heather says
Yes every car has an air filter. Not only for air quality but also engine performance.
