Throughout the life of this blog, I’ve made some really meaningful friendships. Not necessarily what I expected to happen when I first started out, but a pleasant byproduct of this blogging lifestyle.
There are so many blogs I enjoy reading. But recently, I was asked to narrow my list to five favorites. When I first signed on, I thought this would be easy as pie but really, it’s not remotely easy. Just five?
So I’m writing today not about the top five, but five of the most fabulous bloggers I know. Based on the fact that these ladies’ blogs are at the top of my reader and I check in with them daily.
Me and Liz from A Nut in a Nutshell were great blog pals well before we first met at BlogHer last year. She is an amazing writer with an even more amazing sense of humor. If there was one blogger who is my rock, she is it. She manages to get around the blogosphere and support her peers whether they’ve been blogging for years or have just started out. She’s cool like that, and I have much respect for her.
Colleen of Classy Mommy is one of my fellow PSMM bloggers. Colleen’s blog has a unique twist by reporting on celebrity moms and babies along with product reviews. A rock star when it comes to video blogging, or vlogging, Colleen just finished co-writing her first book, The Digital Mom Handbook, and I can’t wait to get my paws on it. She’s a big deal, but she doesn’t act like it. A class act, indeed.
I first met Jen from Momma D and Da Boyz in Martha Stewart’s waiting room. We were both there for the blogging show in January 2010 where we became fast friends. Her blog is a great mix of her personal life, reviews and crafting. I love her positive outlook on all of the things she writes about.
I often get into cooking ruts. When I want a tried and true recipe, I look to Lisa from Jersey Girl Cooks. She has shared healthy Superbowl party recipes on my blog earlier this year. Even when I don’t see just what I’m looking for on her blog, she’s always been helpful when I ask her for advice on twitter. We’re practically neighbors, but have never met in person. That will all change very soon, we will make sure of that.
Last but certainly not least is Divina from Dancing Hotdogs. We’ve met a handful of times, and somehow I don’t have a photo of us together. I’ll have to rectify that the next time we meet up! Divina, along with her husband Eddie, writes about all sorts of things, from movies to events and product reviews. She is a busy mom of two who works full time and still manages to write a great blog. Above all, she is a sweet person who I feel blessed to know.
I adore all of these gals – they each bring something unique to the blogosphere. Go check them out!
Don’t forget to enter the 50 Fabulous Wishes contest for a chance to win $1,000 to celebrate a friend with a refreshing attitude about looking and feeling fabulous. I was selected for this Tropicana Trop50 sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do. I received compensation to use and facilitate my post.
Heather! You are the best and I am not. Thank you so much for the fantastic shout out. You make me so happy that I started blogging that fateful day in 2008.
I met Jen from Momma D and Da Boyz in March. Although we didn’t get to spend a lot of time together, I agree that she has a super wonderful personality. She’s easygoing and fun to be with. I’ve never met Liz from A Nut In A Nutshell but she’s a favorite of mine as well.
Jen my darling friend.
You are the best! You are one of those special people that make me so happy I started blogging. We definitely need pictures together and I SO wish we lived closer! So we could hang more.
Ok, this is a new one for me. I actually got tears in my eyes from reading that, because I’m so not worthy of all that. Thank you, Heather. You know I have big love for you! And I’m so excited because we were able to hang out at RR. Plus, we have other fun adventures coming up with more hang out opportunities! Muah!
These are great picks! I got to meet a few of them at Reviewers Retreat which was a lot of fun!
Thank you so much for the mention! I love you too!
