Find all things Halloween at Oriental Trading

By Heather

Samples were received for consideration.

Well, it happened. Summer has ended and it’s officially fall. Normally I decorate for fall with a just little bit of Halloween sprinkled in here and there, but this year I decided to amp up the spook factor to get the kids excited about one of their favorite holidays.

Our fireplace is the focal point of our family room and that’s where we spend most of our time as a family. For the longest time, we didn’t even have a mantle above it so now that we do, it’s my favorite thing to decorate, and naturally that’s where I wanted to focus first with our seasonal decor. I looked to pinterest for some Halloween mantle inspiration and then I typed OrientalTrading.com into my browser to find the goods.

Oriental Trading is my go to place for party favors, candy, decorations and costumes no matter what time of the year it is. I know that I’ll find unique items that I won’t find anywhere else and at an affordable price. It was there that I found my newest Halloween decor.

Halloween decor at Oriental Trading

1

Bag of skulls

Bag of skulls

This bag of skulls (one dozen) is a great buy. I have put them on display in various ways, using them to fill bowls, lanterns or just setting them on out by themselves. The kids enjoy playing with their moveable jaws. $12; Oriental Trading

2

Glass jar set

Glass jar set

I chose this jar set because I've been wanting them for a long time. They're the perfect size for my mantle. I used the largest one to fit a skull inside, and the others I used to hold wrapped candy. $33; Oriental Trading

3

Deluxe Creepy Cloth

Deluxe Creepy Cloth

This cloth makes a fantastic drape for doorways and windows. It also works really well as I used it - over the mantle. This is sets the tone for my new creepy mantle. $8; Oriental Trading

4

Gummy Eyeballs

Gummy Eyeballs

The kids love these gummies and they also make a great treat! I filled one of the lidded glass jars with them and I plan to hand them out to trick or treaters on Halloween. Also a great party treat! $5; Oriental Trading

5

Halloween Pennant

Halloween Pennant

I wasn't sure if I was going to get a pennant banner but I'm so glad I did. It totally finishes off the display! $12; Oriental Trading

6

Black metal lanterns

Black metal lanterns

I love using lanterns for decorating because they're so versatile. They'll fit within any holiday by adding flare based on the season. For Halloween they provide that sleepy hollow feel all on their own. $20; Oriental Trading

7

Standing witch

Standing witch

I don't see the witch we received on the site anymore, but this one is similar. It's nice and tall and perfect for the foyer. $50; Oriental Trading

8

Boy's Deluxe Raphael Costume

Boy's Deluxe Raphael Costume

The last item on our list was very important for my son who wants to dress as Raphael for Halloween this year. He is super excited and I'm pleased with the quality. $28; Oriental Trading

I honestly loved everything I received! Anything that had to be assembled was easy to do so. The only issue I had was that the costume was missing an accessory. I contacted Oriental Trading and they are sending it right away. Check out all of the cute boy costumes they offer. My only advice to you is don’t delay. I’m so glad I didn’t drag my feet as I usually do because all of the good finds do sell out as the holiday approaches. So get on it!

I have always heard amazing things about oriential trading but never shopped there myself. Looks like I should really give it a look and see what I can come up with!

I want something witchy from this company that makes noise to scare the kids away, lol. The neighbour’s kids love coming up on my porch to peek in my windows. I don’t understand the attraction and they really don’t bother me but I’d love just once to see them stop, lol.

I haven’t peeked at their Halloween stuff yet, I am still working on birthday stuff from them. I know that my teen has peeked and she has a list of things she wants from there to help with her Mad Hatter costume idea ;)
