So I have detoured a bit from my low carb diet. I found that I only lost a half a pound during my first week, and admittedly I was eating more than my fair share of cheese, fatty meats and nuts. I know that this is not healthy and I certainly don’t want to clog my arteries in an effort to lose a few pounds.
I am still making some of my favorite low carb recipes, but I am also enjoying other healthy starches like potatoes and whole grains in moderation. I am still loading up on veggies and lean meats, and have decided to reduce my cheese intake. It’s all about having balance in your diet, and drinking plenty of water.
I’ve also become committed to exercise, and it’s not as dreadful as I imagined it to be. I am actually feeling so healthy and strong. Those endorphins are no joke.
It’s much easier for me to go to the gym than it is to eat properly. Even when I’m being very good and counting my calories, I have to admit I rarely check for vitamins and minerals on nutrition labels, and I am not alone. According to a new survey from Prevention and Centrum, over 75% of Americans that look at the nutritional content of the foods they eat and buy, 72% look at calories and 61% check fat content, but only about 30% look for vitamins and minerals. And to add insult to injury, many Americans have inadequacies of key vitamins and minerals including Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Magnesium and Calcium.
It’s can be very difficult even for the best eater to get enough of these vitamins and minerals in our diets which is why we have look for a quality multivitamin like Centrum to help fill dietary gaps.. Click here for a $4 off coupon that can be used on any Centrum product.
Yes, when I remember. Some days are better than others. I try to eat healthy and get what I need from my food, but find myself needing to supplement sometimes.
I do need to watch my vitamins. A good multivitamin would be the answer.

It is just so hard to be able to get all your vitamins in one day, I really need to invest in some multivitamins!
