June is here and that means Father’s Day is right around the corner. No matter what Dad is into, chances are he has enough ties in his closet.
It’s not any more fun giving an unwelcomed gift than it is receiving one. This is why I always stick to the more practical gifts. My theory is that there is less of a chance he’ll return it, because it’s something Dad will actually use. These are a few items we’ve found that we think your father or husband will enjoy too.
Practical Gifts for Dad
Framed memories

Minted is our go-to for classic photo gifts. I sent my parents a beautiful piece of framed art featuring their grandchildren for Christmas and they loved it. Love the family fun day at Chuck-E-Cheese, I am not a fan of pizza but I will say their is actually really good. And I love Skeet Ball so I end up hanging out their raking in a ton of tokens lol which I give my girls ;)! My boys like to run around and play as many of the arcade games as they can as well as the basketball hoop one with my husband who they try so hard to beat….sometimes dad lets them win! It is a fun day
We are always grilling something outside on the grill. My husband would love the Grill Daddy as a Father’s Day gift. I’ve heard great things about them, but never can remember them when I go to purchase a gift. I love that businesses are recognizing Father’s with discounts at their establishments!
We’re going on vaca during Father’s Day. My hubby wants some fresh seafood for fathers day. I can’t believe that’s all he wants. And he’ll cook it so we get the benefit. Maybe I should get that grill cleaner. LOL
I always had the hardest time shopping for gifts for my father! Now that I am married, and have a husband and a father-in-law, things just got harder, lol! Thank you for all of these great ideas! I know my husband would love the Grill Daddy as would his Dad – the whole family LOVES grilling!
This is a great list of practical father approved gifts for Father’s Day. I really like the day out because a gift only lasts so long but memories you have forever. I still haven’t decided what to get hubby this year and this list has given me some inspiration.
Thank you so much for posting this list! I swear It is so hard for me to shop for my mom and dad because they everything that they want. I was planning on getting my father a gift card this year, but looking at your list I maybe interested Nautica. I know it smells good, I will have to consult my mom on it.
Oh I love some of these ideas. The grill daddy will be the perfect gift from the kids for their dad because he is the ultimate grill daddy. I like the fun day out idea. We are on family vacation now so I will be sure to make one of the days all about a fun day for dad and kids. He will love that.
This is our first Father’s Day without my husband. I will be putting together a bunch of photos as a way for the kids to remember special times with dad. The Minted photo art will be perfect to add to their special gift. I” make one for each child and one for myself. We miss him terribly but know he is always with us in spirit.
Kita, I am so terribly sorry. I hope you are able to find peace in the memories. xx
These are some fab ideas for Father’s Day. Especially the grill Daddy. Both my husband and dad would love that! Thanks for sharing!
