It’s almost May.  That means my birthday, Mother’s day and my 5-year wedding anniversary are right around the corner.  I found a wonderful shop online offering unique gifts for mom called Everything4Mom.com. 

While browsing this online boutique, I found so many interesting gift ideas.  In Southern New Jersey, Spring is in full swing and I have gardening on the brain, so of course the items that stood out to me were the Cute Tools Handpainted Garden Tools.  I knew they’d be lovely, and when they arrived so adorably packaged with bright red bows, I thought for a moment about using them only for display.  

 
But these tools were begging to be used.  They are heavy-duty gardening tools, and with their hand-painted wooden handles, they’re the perfect combination of beauty and brains.  Having grown up at the Jersey Shore, the lobster design brings back fond memories, so that’s what I chose.  It’s also very vintage chic.  Emma got to break them in today. 

You wouldn’t know it from the site, but according to the tags, Cute Tools are art for a cause, employing people with special needs.  Isn’t that awesome?  The tools also came packaged with basil seeds for planting.  How did they know I needed some of those?!
