With so many cars on the road, and the rate of auto-accidents being so high, a car seat is probably the most important thing you’ll buy for your child. There are so many options on the market, so it can be overwhelming making a decision on which one to buy. At least that’s how I felt. I ended up buying a very expensive brand, thinking that the high price tag meant that it would be the best for my baby. Now I know better. I should have chosen an Evenflo car seat.
The Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat was recently rated the #1 choice by Consumer Reports considering performance and price. It accommodates infants from 5 to 35 lbs. when positioned as a rear-facing seat, and toddlers up to 50 lbs. when installed forward-facing. That in itself is pretty amazing – up to 50 lbs! My Emma is a big girl for her age, (probably about 28 lbs. which is quite large for a 15-month old) so that high maximum is important to me. This car seat will see us through the years for sure.
The Triumph Advance LX has removable support pillows, washable pads, and a reclining base, all pretty standard features when it comes to car seats. One of the features that makes this Evenflo model stand out from the rest, in my opinion, is the Infinite Slide Harness. This system adjusts to your child’s shoulder height so easily. There is no need to fight with the straps. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve struggled with twisting straps on our other car seat, as it’s been a real pain to adjust the shoulder height to fit my daughter comfortably.
Another great feature is the TensionRight™ knob, which easily adjust the harness on the side of the car seat. There doesn’t seem to be a way to tangle the belts if you tried!
How convenient is a built-in cupholder? It’s got that too. It folds away when you’re not using it, nice and neat. But most importantly, this is one safe car seat. It meets or exceeds safety standards and has been side impact tested.
After trying it out for about a week, I absolutely love the Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat and I even prefer it to its $300 counterpart, the one installed in our other car.
Just today I said to my husband, “I think I like this car seat better than our other one.” My husband’s response, “This car seat is GREAT!” A pretty amazing thing to hear coming out of my persnickety husband’s mouth.
The Evenflo Triumph Advance LX Convertible Car Seat retails for about $130.00. What a bargain for a phenomenal product, and I am truly sincere when I say that. I think it’s a way better product than our pricey car seat, and I can see why it’s a top consumer pick.
No compensation was received for this review post. I received the Evenflo car seat in order to facilitate my honest opinion. Your point of view may be different, but I doubt it will be.

I have this seat too and Like it very well, except it’s a bit Tall (the base part) for our tiny cars so it’s actually tough to put our tall son into. He can now climb in himself though, so it’s not a huge deal.
Could you tell me where the cup holder goes? I lost the manual and it doesn’t seem to be online anywhere!

Just so everyone is aware…we took the photo before we adjusted the chest clip. She did NOT ride this way in the car.

i had one of these seats and it served us well for years…it just hit its expiration date and had to be retired! I actually won one on another blog but never received it…so disappointing!
I noticed in your photo your daughter's chest clip does not look like its adjusted high enough on her. It looks like it down by her belly when it should be up at her armpit level. She will be kept safest that way.

That is so funny! That is the exact car seat that my husband and I bought for both our children. We have two, one in each car. We love it too. I am glad to hear it rates well. Thanks for the review.
