The week before last I convinced my husband to pack up our family and take a road trip. We were Florida bound. I was so excited for warm weather and sunshine that I did most of the packing myself before we began our 24-hour drive. For the first part of our trip we planed on visiting Orlando, and in the past we’d only stayed on Disney property but this time we were staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel Kissimmee.
The moment we stepped inside we realized that this was no ordinary Orlando hotel. This place was breathtakingly beautiful, upscale and grand. There was a reception taking place on the grounds when we arrived; the facility lends itself to elegant private parties.
Our room was much more than just a room. Staying at the Embassy Suites is truly like a home away from home. When entering our suite we found ourselves in a sitting area equipped with sofas, a television, desk, and a wet bar with a refrigerator. The bathroom was impressive too. It really did have all of the comforts of home.
The kids wanted to check out the pool so we did some night swimming before turning in for the night. The pool area was very big and featured a hot tub area as well. Towels were available as were lounge chairs.
Each morning guests are treated to a complimentary hot breakfast including made to order omelets, fresh fruit, pancakes, baked goods and so much more. The Embassy Suites breakfast blew away our former favorite chain’s breakfast offerings. This is such an added value when budgeting for your vacation.
My favorite part of our room was this magnificent view. We chose to stay on the 10th floor, which was the highest level available. It would have been even better if we were on the other side of the building which I believe would have offered a view of Disney sights, but our view was gorgeous nonetheless.
The only disappointment for me was the lack of complimentary in-room WiFi. As a blogger, I need to be connected and while this was a family vacation, I did need to tie up some loose ends before unplugging. Unless you agree to pay for daily internet access, you have to visit the business center for access.
We agree that the pluses far outweigh that one minus when it comes to the Embassy Suites Hotel in Kissimmee. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. If my daughter hadn’t gotten sick after night 2, we were planning on extending our stay and we were amazed that the rate was only $149 for that night. That includes a free yummy breakfast – what a great value!

My family received complimentary accommodations.
Be thankful, many ideas.
Looks like a great hotel. I do agree that free wifi is a bit of a must. I love that you could have had views of Disney sites from the other side of the building.
we’re heading to embassy suites in DC next week. I can’t wait. It looks awesome and I love that they have a “happy hour” in the evening
Embassy Suites looks amazing! I bet our family of 7 would enjoy staying there.
My husband ALWAYS get the wifi included. I don’t know if it’s all the reward programs or through work, but he manages, lol. This looks like a lovely hotel!
