When my oldest was at the appropriate age to be read to, she flipped through the pages before I could read each one. It drove me crazy! At one point, I thought she’d never want to be read to or be interested in reading herself. My have times changed. Now at age 7 she looks forward to our reading time before bed, and she and her brother adore the Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems!
Emma for one loves this easy to read and funny series. It’s about the friendship between the two characters and it explores issues that young children can relate to.
We adore Mo Willems’ Pigeon series and the kids already have The Thank You Book which was just released this Spring. We recently received another fun package featuring two new books from The Elephant & Piggie like reading series, We Are Growing and Cookie Fiasco along with cute finger puppets and cookies!

Not Again! by Mac Barnett, Always Lots of Heinies at the Zoo by Ayun Halliday, and Because I’m Your Dad by Ahmet Zappa. He is also the creator of Disney’s animated hit The Replacements. Dan lives in Southern California with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.

We love everything Mo Willems in my class and were so downcast when the Thank You book came out last spring. I’d love to have these new books to entice beginning readers.
My daughter loves Mo Willems. The Pigeon books have always been her bedtime favorite, but she is growing into the Elephant and Piggie books now. She would be so excited to win this!
These books sound so wonderful and ones my grandson would love to read. I love how it teaches them there is something special about themselves and a cute way to learn about sharing too.
