We’re right smack in the middle of the holiday season, and I’m finding that I am eating on the run more often than I’d like. I’m always on the run, but lately it is running me down. I’ve already had the flu twice and I know I need to focus on making better choices when it comes to eating. It’s much easier to grab a cookie for breakfast instead of making oatmeal and apples, but I have found some good for you choices that will work with anyone’s busy schedule.
Campbell’s New V8 Protein Bars and Shakes are excellent choices and perfect for breakfast and lunch. I just purchased them both and decided to keep a few of each in my car so I have no excuses or worries about skipping a meal when I’m out shopping for Christmas gifts or running errands.
The shake protein comes from milk, soy, pea, brown rice, quinoa and the veggies from sweet potatoes and carrots. I am not usually a shake person because most are too sweet for me but the shakes are enhanced with a tad of honey, brown rice syrup and sugar and are just sweet enough to be delicious. The protein bars also contain vegetable juices and natural sweeteners, and are high in both protein and fiber.
Just as important as what’s in a product is what isn’t, and there is no high fructose corn syrup at all in either the shakes nor the protein bars.
If you want to find these products for yourself, check in the health and beauty aisle at your local Walmart. There are six flavor options between the protein shakes and bars to choose from and they all look delicious. Follow V8 on twitter and facebook for product updates and offers.

I will definitely try these! I love regular V8, and the V8 Fusion is our go-to juice source for when we let J drink juice. I had no idea they made these!
