I so look forward to the Summer months for so many reasons. For one, we get to enjoy fresh fruits and veggies from the local farms and at a great price. Until then, we rely on our supermarkets to transport high quality produce from warmer areas. That’s something that we’re willing to pay a little extra for, because it’s important that we eat fresh fruits year-round.
We just recently picked up Driscoll’s strawberries and raspberries from the store. They looked better than any other brands that were being sold there. The fruit was bright, shiny and ripe. I’m picky with my strawberries because more often than not, they’re covered in bruises, and in this package there was very little bruising.
The kids have been gobbling up – mostly the strawberries. But I have some dessert plans for the raspberries. They pair fabulously with chocolate, don’t you think? I was tempted to make my famous fruit tart but these are so good on their own, too!
Driscoll’s is a family owned and operated farm producing organic berries – strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries – for over 100 years.
