I never thought I’d say (or type) this, but this lady is getting tired of all the shopping already. It’s true! Yesterday I went looking for children’s gifts at a toy store in our area. I had a 1 year-old, 9-year-old, and my 41-year-old child husband to shop for. And that’s just for this coming weekend!
In our family, we have six birthdays between November and December. Saturday, we’re attending a child’s birthday party early in the morning, and then coming home to host our own party. Sunday there’s yet another birthday celebration. There will be no relaxing this weekend.
Lately my nephew, the 9-year-old mentioned above, is into things that you can launch into the air. Typical for boys, I guess. But when my sister told me he’d requested a marshmallow shooter, I thought I was starring in one of those twilight zone episodes. I’m just not used to shopping for that kind of stuff, and it’s like learning a new language. He’d probably love these Beyblades, but I went by the list and bought what he’d asked for.
My daughter will be turning two soon, as are many of her friends and family members, so my focus has been on the pre-school sections. I‘ve always typically bought more advanced toys for Emma, she doesn’t seem to be interested in the 2-year old toys as much. She likes to play with things similar to what adults use like cell phones and remote controls. I think this Fisher Price camera, would be right up her alley. My digital camera is another item she sees me using often.
After this weekend, I have two birthdays next week, Emma’s party the first weekend of December, then her real birthday, holiday parties and Christmas. I’m just a touch extremely overwhelmed by it all, and while I normally prefer in store shopping, I think from this point on I will be finishing the rest of it online.
What about you? Do you prefer online shopping or visiting the stores?

I like to buy in-store and online!
Sometimes the pictures of the items are a bit misleading, lol… I bought a little piano for my little girl but was smaller than I expected, the thing is that the little piano it was ONLINE only (not found in any store).

That can be a major issue – has happened to me before too.

I’ve really converted to online shopping over the last 5 years. So much easier!

I really prefer online shopping. While it’s great to go out and be able to see and try out things in the store, doing the shopping from my computer chair is so much less stressful!

I agree with you! Especially when you have a toddler in tow.
