DIY Bubble Solution Tutorial

By Heather

After a terrible week weather-wise, it’s finally warm enough to let the kids play outside in the yard. My kids are already planning their adventures in the great outdoors, and our garage is fully stocked with sidewalk chalk, water balloons, pool rafts and bubble solution. In the past I have shelled out some serious cash while trying to keep a supply of bubbles for the kids on hand. Did you know that you can actually make it yourself?

With a few simple ingredients, most of which are probably already found in your home – you can make your own kids safe bubble solution. This time I opted for fragrance free, because I didn’t want out bubbles to have a scent.

Step 1
The first step is to pour six cups of water into a large bowl with a pour spout if possible.

Step 2
Mix in 1 cup of liquid soap and slowly stir the ingredients together, without creating foam or bubbles in the process.

Step 3
Now measure 1 tablespoon of glycerin OR 1/4 cup of corn syrup and slowly stir that in.

Step 4
Pour the solution into bottles and get ready for lots of bubbly fun!

I haven’t used all in a long time. I usually opt for arm and hammer.
