We are so grateful to have been invited to the 2015 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. It was heartbreaking to have to cancel our trip for last year’s conference, because the one we attended in 2011 was unforgettable. So as you can imagine, I was over the moon excited when I received an invitation in my inbox this year!
The host hotel this year was Disney’s Yacht Club, a resort that’s been on our wish list for years but slightly beyond our budget limitations. It did not disappoint.

This place is as refined as The Grand Floridian (location of the 2011 conference) with nautical theming and a prime location. We loved being able to walk to EPCOT and take a short boat ride to Hollywood Studios. The boardwalk area features many dining and entertainment options as well; our favorite was the Flying Fish Cafe.
The Yacht Club features not only a unique location, but an incredible sand bottomed pool, lazy river and a shipwreck slide. It took some coaxing for us to get our six year old to take the plunge, but once she finally got the courage she was hooked. Our only regret is that we didn’t make more time for pool fun.

Our room was the most spacious of any Disney resort so far. We’ve stayed at Grand Floridian, Port Orleans Riverside, and Art of Animation and this room was so luxuriously roomy. Our room had a nice view of the Yacht pool, in a small secluded area.
There are several dining options available in this resort area no matter what your taste or budget. You are a stones throw away from the Beach Club, Swan & Dolphin, Boardwalk, not to mention my favorite place to at, EPCOT.
The views here are breathtaking here no matter what time of day. You really feel like you’re strolling along the beach, and being a Jersey shore girl, I felt right at home.

We were supposed to be staying there in August but my sister moved us to the Polynesian. I am looking forward to it. I do want to stay here one day. I hear they have a sand bottom pool & my 8yo is dying to give it a try!

That is a beautiful resort! I haven’t been to Disney in several years but I’m thinking we need to go sometime soon.
