I’m always on the hunt for great skincare products for my babies. Both have very sensitive skin, and it’s important to me to use quality products that are as natural as possible so that they can stay healthy.
Desert Essence recently contacted me for a product review and of course I said yes. The company is a pioneer in the natural products industry with over 35 years of providing safe and effective skincare solutions. Products are NSF-Organic & USDA Certified-Organic and pediatrician-approved so there’s no question about their practices.
I couldn’t figure out how to close the pump on our other baby bath, so when Desert Essence arrived just before vacation, I decided to pack it instead and I’m so glad I did. The bottle dispenses cleansing foam which is a whole lot less concentrated than what we normally use and easier to rinse.
Unfortunately, when we returned from Florida Emma’s hands have become so dry and scabby. It’s quite severe and painful for her – almost like eczema. She was great once we were exposed to the moist air so I know that it’s a dry heat/winter issue. We have yet to find a miracle cream that fixes this completely but any lotion or oil helps to moisturize and protect her skin. We tried both the lotion and the baby oil and she was delighted by the citrusy scents in both products.
Today I finally tried the all-purpose cleansing spray. It also smells lovely with a natural lavender scent. I love the idea of using it to clean baby toys and devices as recommended by Desert Essence.
These products are currently available in thousands of natural foods stores across the US, including Whole Foods Market & Sprouts Farmers Market. Don’t expect to pay an arm and a leg either; products on their website are each under $13.
