I don’t know if you’ve been following the weather along the Northeast, but it has been frigid here. It’s so cold that the snow won’t melt even days after a snowstorm. With highs in the teens lately, we have chosen to hibernate in our home whenever possible. Of course we had plans to head into the city last weekend to see the tree and have our first family dinner of the new year, so of course the zipper on my winter coat decided to break just before. With no time to shop I had to makeshift and scarf it up. I’m pretty sure the blood in my veins became slightly frozen at some point, but I made it.
My favorite way to warm up on a cold winter day is with a delicious bowl of hot soup. This has been my go-to for lunch while sitting on my sofa under my fuzzy blanket while catching up on my favorite shows (don’t tell my kids). I love all different kinds of soups but my latest obsession is with Idahoan® Steakhouse® Soups.
I’ve been feeling under the weather lately and therefore not up for making elaborate meals. There is nothing more comforting to me than a creamy, cheesy soup. Idahoan Steakhouse Soups are made with red Idaho® potatoes, perfect seasoning and rich cheeses. This line offers a flavorful, slow-cooked taste similar to what you’d find at your favorite fine restaurant, except it’s on the table in just minutes. These are perfect for lunch but also a great precursor to dinner.
Simply bring 4 cups of water to a boil, whisk in the package contents and simmer for five minutes. Essentially, these are dehydrated soups that you just rehydrate to enjoy. So easy and so delicious! There are three scrumptious varieties including Loaded Potato, Creamy Potato, Cheddar Potato and Cheddar Broccoli. At $2.79 a pouch, the soups are super affordable too.
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of CLEVER and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
All things warm are great after a hard day at work. Especially true this time of the year!
I’ve tried that steakhouse potato soup, it is definitely my favorite!
First time I have seen these – will watch in the store.
thanks
I love soup on a cold winter day!! These look amazing I need to find them and try them out!
I haven’t heard of these before but I love soup in winter, and creamy potato soup sounds so comforting on a cold day!
We buy those all the time! In fact, I think they used to have a big can at Sam’s Club that would last us the whole winter!
It’s about 20 degrees here today so this really sounds good! I just want all the warm things!
