Anyone who has ever tried to lose weight knows that finding substitutions for old guilty pleasure is essential part of dieting success. I never really had a sweet tooth until after I had kids, but now I crave something sweet after eating a savory meal. Unfortunately in the world we live in, dessert is not really something you can indulge in often when you’re watching your calorie intake.
Greek yogurt is one of my favorite things to enjoy as a snack or a meal when I want something that’s tasty and helps me feel full thanks to to all of that protein. Sometimes I add a little bit of honey, reduced fat peanut butter, or granola. I’m never left unsatisfied or wrought with guilt after eating greek yogurt, so as you can imagine I I heavily rely on it when I’m in get-healthy mode.
Recently we received a package filled with several containers of Dannon® Light & Fit® Tiramisu Flavored Greek nonfat yogurt. Tiramisu yogurt is a flavor I’d never heard of before, so I was eager to try it, and so was my 6-year-old daughter. Who could resist this?
Those living a healthy lifestyle will love reading this label which lists 12 grams of protein, 80 calories and 0% fat per 5.3 oz. I’ve enjoyed this treat for breakfast, lunch, snack, and even as an accompaniment to my dinner. It is super creamy and delicious alternative to Tiramisu without all of the empty calories.
The Dannon® Light & Fit® Tiramisu Flavored Greek nonfat yogurt is great all by itself. But if you wanted to make a modified tiramisu, you could make a great alternative by laying the yogurt chocolate angel food cake. Or an even healthier idea would be to make these frozen yogurt blueberries. These are the kind of food hacks that have helped me lose weight in the past, but mostly I enjoy eating the new yogurt all by itself.
This yogurt looks so delicious and decadent. I love the idea of enjoying such a yummy treat that doesn’t have a lot of calories.
I would love to try the Tiramisu yogurt. I like to have yogurt for a snack after my workout.
That sounds really good. I would love to try this flavor.
Tiramisu yogurt? Wow that does sound good. I’m going to have to try this one.
I had no idea there was Tiramisu yogurt. I will have to tell my husband, he absolutely loves it and yogurt so we need to see if we can find this around our area!
This sounds really tasty. I love having yogurt for breakfast.
Oh my! Tiramasu is my favorite! I so need to get these, I bet they will hit my sweet tooth!
I would. I love Tiramisu and I also love yogurt. I think it’s a great combination.
Hmmm, not sure this would taste anything like the real thing. I’ll try one and see for myself. I could be surprised.
That sounds good. I will have to try it :)
