Collage It Pro Review + FREE Software Offer!

By Heather

In my past life I was a graphic designer and I have used just about every design program out there on both PCs and Macs. You can really do some amazing things with the programs if you have some time on your hands. But sometimes you just need a program that’s going to do the work for you.

I offered to make a photo collage in memoriam of my mother-in-law who passed away over the summer. I had just a few days to create a poster that would highlight all 73 years of her life. As I compiled all of the best photos from a stack of albums as tall as my daughter, I stressed over whether I had included everyone that should be featured in the photos. Then I had to scan all of them.

We’re not used to having to do this now that most of our photographs are at our fingertips and on our hard drives. This took so much time that I had little time to actually create a collage manually. I remembered receiving a pitch from the people that created Collage It software. A pitch that I had blown off many times before because I thought I had all of the tools necessary to create a collage if I wanted to.

screenI could have created a great collage with other programs, but it would have taken hours. Collage It truly came to my rescue. I was able to put together an awesome collage featuring over a hundred photos pretty easily. All I had to do was upload, select the size and borders and it auto-filled the page for me. If I wanted to move photos around I could do that too.

You do have to review each image upclose very carefully though. Several heads got cut off and I had to manually adjust the images. Setting the page to print at a high quality for my 20×30 poster print was another challenge but once I figured that out, I sent it to print and picked up all six copies – one for each of her children, at Costco the very next day.

We received nothing but compliments on the collage from everyone who saw it, and now it hangs on our wall for us to remember her in each of those moments. I am looking forward to creating more collages and art to fill our walls with this software.

Since I used the software, they have now updated it. The new program is CollageIt 3 Pro, and it’s available now through October 31st at 24:00 CST for FREE! Just click here, I did. Happy Halloween :)

Key features include:

  • 45+ new templates and 4 collage styles: Mosaic, Grid, Center and Pile.
  • Simply add photos and use “Random Layout” to generate layouts automatically.
  • Use “Free Mode” to move, resize, rotate manually.
  • Lots of backgrounds, photo effects, fonts, text effects, borders, etc.
  • Various export and share options.

I too made a collage and had it printed out at Costco but the end result had some of the top and bottom cut off. How do I choose to make it an 8 x 10 in Collage It?

What a thoughtful gift and way to remember a loved one. I’m sure they all really appreciated it!
