After we surprised Emma with a “choo-choo” set for Christmas, her interest in trains has increased ten-fold. Before now, we hadn’t seen or heard of Chuggington.
The show is for preschool age kids and airs daily on the Playhouse Disney channel. It’s a computer-animated, vividly-colored series that follows the amusing adventures of three young trainees, Wilson, Brewster and Koko, as they learn to “ride the rails” of life and become productive chuggers along the way.
Chugginton promotes positive life lessons like being loyal, honesty, solving problems – all skills that shape a person and all things we strive to teach our little chuggers.
Emma recently had the opportunity to watch the new Chuggington: Let’s Ride the Rails. It features six episodes: “Clunky Wilson”, “Braking Brewster”, “Can’t Catch Koko”, “Old Puffer Pete’s Tour”, “Koko on Call”, “Hodge and the Magnet”.
She was engrossed with the stories from the moment I played the first episode. She didn’t care about anything else that was going on around her. Needless to say, she loved it. And for the reasons above, I think it’s a real winner too!
The DVD is available on Amazon for only $10.99, including the shipping!
