On the eve of Easter, I was feeling like a bad mother. I hadn’t bought my daughter an Easter dress, the one day of the year that little girls shine in their bright new attire. We scrambled to get ready for church so that we could make the early mass, and I was urgently looking for something appropriate. I poked around in Emma’s closet looking for something darling, and there it was. Emma’s hand-embroidered flower dress from Chica-bu.
Chica-bu offers bamboo clothing for little ones. There are a few unisex options, but most items are for the pretty little ladies. I have reviewed clothing made from bamboo fiber in the past, and I’m always amazed with the benefits of this fabric. The softness is like no other, and the properties of the material are just as impressive. It regulates body temperature, keeping you warmed when it’s cool, and cooler when it’s warm.
We had to travel North this Easter, and it took about an hour to reach our destination, so I loved the fact that Emma was comfortable in her Easter dress. And look at how adorable she looked! The Brazilian Dimentional Embroidery is divine and adds a special dress to a simply-styled dress. It is done by a group of older ladies in Mexico who are not otherwise able to work. Chica-bu also donates a portion of all proceeds to The Friends of El Faro, which helps to raise funds for an orphanage in Tijuana.
One reader will win their choice of either the tank dress that we received, or the onesie dress from their baby line – ARV up to $38.00!
