Chasing Mavericks in Theaters Friday (Prize Pack Giveaway)

Chasing Mavericks seems to be the Point Break of the 21st century. This is a movie I would have been stoked to watch back in the 1990s when I was obsessing over Kelly Slater and other surfer dudes. I’ve moved on and have grown up, and I now obsess over Gerard Butler, who starts in the new film. Seriously, do we need any other reason to check out this movie?!

It’s not like we need another reason, but Chasing Mavericks has a lot going for it.

Cast includes Gerard Butler, Jonny Weston, Elisabeth Shue, Abigail Spencer and Leven Rambin.

Synopsis:
CHASING MAVERICKS is the inspirational true story of surfing phenom Jay Moriarity (newcomer Jonny Weston). When 15 year old Jay discovers that the mythic Mavericks surf break, one of the biggest waves on Earth, is near his Santa Cruz home, he enlists the help of local legend Frosty Hesson (Gerard Butler) to train him to survive it.
