Soon after my husband and I first started dating, I learned that he had been volunteering his time as a Big Brother for a young man in his area. It was one of the reasons I fell so hard for him. I mean, how many men in their 30s selflessly volunteer in their spare time? I’d finally met the type of man I wanted to marry; not only was he handsome and charming but he was husband material. Seeing him interact with the young man he mentored gave me a glimpse at our future.
He is without any doubt a great father who is not afraid to get his hands dirty, literally. He’s been involved from the very start by changing diapers, feeding our babies and providing any support we could possibly need. I know I am lucky to have such a hands on husband and a great father to our children.
It can be tricky finding a great gift for Kevin to show how much we appreciate him. He’s not one for jewelry/watches, and doesn’t like to spend a lot of money on himself so I usually try and find something on the practical side.
