#Sponsored Thank you HarperCollins Children’s Books for sponsoring this post. Join me as I participate in this month’s #ICanReadathon!
With all that we have to do day in and day out, from carting the kids to school and activities and errands like food shopping, laundry, and keeping up with our home in general, it’s hard to find the time to do much else. But guess what? We have enough food in the house to sustain us for days and the laundry can wait – especially when the alternative is quality time that includes learning.
We all love our movies, and we have our nightly routine to watch them as a family, but lately I feel like the kids are becoming too dependent on films. It’s time for a change, back to the basics before movies dumb them down forever.
We are participating in the I Can Readathon and will be reading our favorite HarperCollins books as part of our nightly bedtime routine. I remember as a kid loving the Little Critter children’s books. So much so that I started drawing the characters (perhaps an early sign that I would go on major in art).
There are so many fantastic childrens books out there to choose from: Amelia Bedelia, Danny and the Dinosaur, Frog and Toad, Little Bear, Pete the Cat, Fancy Nancy, and Pinkalicious to name a few. Emma loves all of the Biscuit books.
Want to join me? Like I Can Read Books on Facebook and figure out how you will commit to the I Can Readathon!
I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
