When we ask the kids where they want to go out to eat, usually the answer is California Pizza Kitchen. In fact, we all love eating there. The pizza is great, but this restaurant has way more. My favorite is the BBQ chicken topped salad. Normally I order that or the spinach-artichoke pizza, and the kids love the mac ‘n cheese topped off with a sundae. Kevin and I decided to be adventurous two Saturdays ago, and ordered some new menu items. We started off with appetizers, spring rolls and these amazing wontons.

I went with the hawaiian pizza for my main course and Kevin got the salmon. The kids ordered the usual mac ‘n cheese. Unfortunately they won’t eat the edamame, but I love that this is an option for kids.
Everything was very good, but my old favorites still remain. CPK does offer an adventure guarantee; if you’re not crazy about something, they’ll replace it with your usual favorite. I thought about doing that, but I’m too embarrassed to go through with it, especially when there is nothing wrong with the food.

Dessert was amazing. Kevin ordered the Key Lime Pie, I went with Butter Cake, and the kids got their sundaes. We were all happy campers and we will be back soon!
One of these days we’ll make it out to the King of Prussia Mall location to enjoy some new menu items. The CPK there is one of a dozen CPK locations that has recently gone “off the chain,” with a whole new look and new menu options. In addition to CPK’s signature hand-tossed pizzas, pastas and salads, you can order from a whole new selection of main plates, like Fire-Grilled Ribeye and Hearth-Roasted Halibut, and seasonally inspired items like Sunny Side Up Bacon + Potato Pizza, Brussels + Bacon Flatbread, Harvest Kale Salad, and Roasted Garlic Chicken + Seasonal Vegetables. They also have new handcrafted cocktails: the vodka-based California Roots, tequila-based Executive Decision and whiskey-based Blueberry Ginger Smash. And if you visit for lunch, you can also order from their Lunch Duo menu, which offers dozens of pairing combinations starting at $8.95. You can see the full reimagined menu here.
Our visit was hosted by California Pizza Kitchen.
