Like many of you, I’ve been a fan of Burt’s Bees for years. I love their natural and sustainable philosophy, and their products are never tested on animals. While most people are familiar with their lip balm, I really like their hand and body products. My old apartment in Philly used to be near a Whole Foods Market, and I remember I tried and loved my first Burt’s Bee lotion back then, the Milk & Honey. I really love their entire line.
I received the opportunity to try Burt’s Bees Hand Salve, meant to moisturize rough, dry hands with botanical oils, herbs and of course, beeswax.
This Hand Salve is definitely different than most moisturizers i’m used to:
This is a super-rich balm that will coat your hands with an oil/beeswax layer. I’m not going to lie, this is a unique product – you can’t just slather it on an go about your business as your hands will feel really greasy. But that’s the point, it’s meant to coat them so you’re ready to brave the cold, or work outdoors. It would also be great to slather it on and then put gloves or socks on to let it all soak in for a moisturizing treatment. The Hand Salve is also great on cuticles and dry elbows – pretty much any body part that needs that extra moisturizing treatment.
You can purchase the Burt’s Bees Hand Salve for $9.00 (3.0 oz) at stores nationwide or online. Also check out Burt’s Bees on Facebook and Twitter for product updates.
