I’m going to go ahead and be completely honest here and tell you the truth. I’m really not that into football. While I look forward to fall and football season each year, the game is secondary. It’s the tailgating aspect of football that I enjoy. The chili, the finger foods, the wings. Oh how I love buffalo wings!
Whether you decide to purchase a bucket of wings from your favorite market or make them them at home, these lettuce wraps are a great way to enjoy your favorite finger foods without the mess. Plus, that crunch!
Buffalo chicken salad is one of my favorite meals of all time. The cool crunch of the romaine lettuce complements spicy buffalo wings so well. I wanted to create a finger food version of one of my favorite foods, and lettuce wraps are an easy way to do it. In the produce section I found these individually cut romaine leaves – just perfect but not necessary.
Assembling these lettuce is wraps is easy. Just lay each leaf flat side down and top with one to two boneless wings (depending on the size of your lettuce leaves). Make a simple sauce from two tablespoons wing sauce with one tablespoon ranch dressing. Warm the sauce before drizzling over the hot wings and sprinkle with a crumbly feta or blue cheese.
These lettuce wraps can be enjoyed warm or room temperature. They’re delicious either way!

Oh my gosh! I was at Walmart (the super center one) the other day, and I didn’t think to stop by their deli section! Totally going again to see if they have boneless buffalo wings.
