Bow Allure Hair Accessories for Girls (Review & Giveaway)

When I found out I was having a girl, I was so excited.  I looked forward to the girly dresses, tea parties and dress-up play.  However when this girly girl arrived, the bows and barrettes didn’t stay.  She would have none of it.

At the age of two, she is just starting to sprout a fashion sense.  Plus, she doesn’t like when her hair falls into her face.  Until I discovered Bow Allure, I was having a hard time finding headbands that didn’t bother her, and barrettes that stayed put.  Owner, Juliet not only makes gorgeous hair accessories, but they are practically designed and the highest quality I’ve seen yet.

I melted when I saw the darling Valentine’s Day barrettes.  The first style that caught my eye was Lantana.

It features  a red gingham heart over a black velvet bow.  Absolutely adorable. The Coral Springs barrettes are so much fun.  They’re made of a 2” grosgrain multicolor cream bow with a colorful heshe art print, featuring a polka dot flower and a shiny iridescent green heart center.  I love the bright colors, and the fact that they’ll be appropriate long after love day, too.

These barrettes actually stay too.  Between the alligator-style clip and the non-slip grip, I have had no trouble – even with Emma’s fine hair they stay.

I was attracted to the hairbands because they have an elastic band instead of a rigid one.  I think these work best for Emma.  I know I get headaches from traditional headbands and I wonder if she does too.  Either way, she lets me put them on her head and even enjoys the attention she receives when she wears them.

Either one of these would be lovely for Easter.  Lehigh Acres is heavy on the sequins and June Park features a pretty satin flower and some sequin-bling as well.
