When I was a kid, Boogie Boards were the things we’d use to ride the waves in to the shore in summer. I first saw a new kind of Boogie Board last year in a specialty toy shop and I was intrigued. These eWriters offer kids the ability to draw over and over again on the same surface.
On our recent road trip to Florida, Emma used her Boogie Board to keep her mind occupied on the long trip. She enjoyed creating her artwork, showing it to everybody, and then returning to the same board to create a new masterpiece. I appreciated the fact that we were not adding as much paper debris to an already packed car. The eWriters are Ultra light (4oz.) and thin (1/8″) and come in 8 colors.
Boogie Board eWriters are not just for kids. Some of us adults still like to physically write things down, too. There is something about having something in writing that the smartphone notes just don’t make up for. But who wants sheets of paper getting all crumbled up in the bottom of your bag? I love having something substantial that I can grab easily without the chaos and the JOT 4.5 gave me that.
I can easily write to-dos, shopping lists and reminders and the next day erase and re-write new notes. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket and large enough to be easily accessible. Plus, I have the benefit of writing things down without hurting any trees. The stylus can also be used as a stand by inserting it into the kickstand slot. The JOT is available in four colors: red, blue, pink and grey.
Both eWriters feature a durable, plastic LCD screen and a an erase button that easily and flawlessly erases the screen whenever you’re ready. The devices use a special battery that never needs replacing. Talk about a fuss-free gift idea. And it’s a great idea for so many people. Teachers, kids, parents, friends – anyone can use them.

I would like to give one of these to my son. He is always making lists and this would be helpful to him. I would choose black or maybe blue.

Visited the site and my favorite color is the Cyan. I think my child would most like that you can draw with a stylus or your finger.

I would pick the black for my husband. He is always making lists and we never have a note pad. This is way cooler than the back of a bill envelope.
