For the first time in seven years, I have a toaster oven in my kitchen. Fas long as I could remember, toaster ovens were messy. No matter what I did, they’d end up so gunky that I’d have to throw them out. So I switched to a regular toaster and haven’t looked back.
Until now. Emma has discovered the coveted french fry as well as chicken nuggets, fish sticks and pizza. Not the healthiest choices, but I’m just happy when she actually eats a meal so beggars can’t be choosers.
All these years I’ve missed being able to toast and entire sandwich or bake a small appetizer. These are things I didn’t do anymore, because heating up my entire oven for one small thing would be a huge waste. But how could I deny my daughter? I had to give the toaster oven another try.
With my CSN stores gift certificate, I decided on the Black & Decker Classic Toast-R-Oven in Silver. I didn’t do much research on it, but it looked nice, matched my décor and was priced right.
Since it arrived, it’s gotten used at least once every day. I absolutely love this new appliance, and rely on it. There are a few reasons for this.
1) It heats up much more quickly than my big oven, so the food it done quickly without wasting all of that propane to heat the oven.
2) I no longer have to fill an entire cookie sheet with french fries. I use the metal tray that came with the toaster oven which is the perfect portion for my little girl, and I’m not so tempted to dig in right along with her.
3) This mini oven doesn’t get all crumby and dirty like the others did. I didn’t even notice this feature when ordering, but it has a slide-out crumb tray.
I am so happy with my choice, and I really got lucky with this one. Do you need a new toaster oven? This one is available for $33.85 at CSNStores.com; with shipping it was just a little over $40.00 total.
No compensation was received for this post. CSN Stores sent me a gift certificate to put toward this appliance in order to facilitate my honest review.
I absolutely love toaster ovens. I used mine all the time in my last house. There’s no room for it here. Remind me why I moved???
Great choice!
