These are my faves regardless.
My family adores Netflix; we have been subscribers for years. The kids love having their own profiles and I can control what they see by restricting the content their eyes can see. Dad and I don’t often watch the same shows and movies, so it’s helpful to have our own individual spaces where we can watch what we like and receive recommendations. Recently I was asked to join Netflix’s exclusive stream team – an invitation I’d been hoping for over the past couple of years. Getting this delivery was a dream come true!
In the past I used Netflix primarily for movies, but lately, I’ve been getting into the television series. Netflix has both it’s own productions and television series available for those of us that missed it the first time or simply want to rewatch. I’m not one for waiting, especially when it comes to television shows. When I have to wait a week, sometimes more for the next episode to air I tend to forget the details and at times I lose interest altogether. Binging is one of the many perks of the Netflix service and I’ve been doing a lot of that lately. I’ve compiled a list of a few television series that I enjoyed. I’ll save the Netflix Originals for a separate post.
Binge-worthy television series on Netflix
Hell on Wheels
This is one of my most recent binges. Hell on Wheels is based in the post Civil War era when the first transcontinental railroad was built. I’ve never been one for a western show or film, but this one is different. It doesn’t hurt that the lead character is easy on the eyes, but the story is incredible and definitely worth a watch, especially if you ever dreamed about traveling back in time.
Game of Thrones
I finally got on the GOT bandwagon. There’s tons of violence and blood and guts so this show is not for everyone, however the storyline is quite interesting. It’s different from regular shows that retain it’s main characters. This show keeps you on your toes and leaves you wanting more. This HBO series is a fantasy story based in medieval times with its characters playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne.
LOST
I started watching LOST when it aired on ABC. It’s still one of my favorite mysteries and there’s so much to the story that I’ve now forgotten that it’s worth a re-watch. It’s based on people involved in a plane crash and the crazy mysteries happening on the island on which they’ve been deserted.
Dexter
I’m still hoping for another series of my favorite serial killer. This show was difficult to watch at first, but the story was so good that I could not stop watching it. This HBO series follows Dexter Morgan who is a Miami-based blood splatter expert with a penchant for killing.
Outlander
I’m currently obsessing over when the season premier for Outlander will take place. While no longer streaming on Netflix, the previous two seasons are available on Netflix DVD. Get caught up on this exciting time-travel love story before the new season starts.
Next month I will go over my favorite Netflix Original Series. There are more incredible shows you should not miss. Until then, tell me:

We’ve watched Burn Notice probably 4 or 5 times. And The Office and Parks & Recreation. They’re our go-tos when we run out of things to watch!

I haven’t seen any of the ones you have listed. I have so many I want to watch, but I don’t have much time to watch them during the day. Some of these you have listed are on my list to watch though.

We totally did a binge watch on LOST. My teens were so into it and loved trying to figure it all out. Netflix is really a fun way to catch up with older series.

Dexter was a weird show. I watched bits and pieces of it when my husband watched it.
I need to find some new shows to watch. The last few weeks I have been watching reality shows.
