National Aquarium – You can’t take a trip to the Inner Harbor without making a stop at our nation’s aquarium. But just in case you need a little convincing, this is one of the more unique aquariums we’ve visited. I love the way its modern design fits into the landscape. Inside, you’ll find a wide variety of sea life and even a rainforest. We loved seeing the dolphins, which we were informed will be moving to a warmer climate in a few months. See them while you still can!

Historic Ships of Baltimore – There are four ships in total, and we toured each one. See the floating lighthouse, a submarine the length of a football field, a sail battleship and a warship that fought in pearl harbor.

Babe Ruth’s Birthplace and Museum – This is a must-see for any baseball fan. We learned so much about the babe of baseball who got his start with the Baltimore Orioles. Follow the baseballs from Camden Yards to get there.

Maryland Science Center – A great experience for kids and adults alike. We took part in many interactive exhibits, saw evidence of dinosaurs in Maryland and took in a Planetarium show.

Fort McHenry – You would be remiss if after visiting Baltimore you did not make a stop here. Fort McHenry is an important piece of American History and it’s only a few minutes from the other attractions listed here, located at the entrance of the Inner Harbor. This is where during the war of 1812, our men successfully defended an attack from the British Navy and Francis Scott Key was inspired to write our National Anthem after seeing that our flag was unscathed after the battle.

Ripley’s Believe it or Not – If your family likes to play, this is a fun museum. This was our first Ripley’s museum visit and we enjoyed seeing the unusual exhibits and learning a few eccentricities.

These all look like attractions my family would love. It’s been years since we’ve been to a Ripley’s Believe it or not, so much fun.
Going to Baltimore for some baseball history sounds like it could be fun. The science center sounds really cool too.
Wow, I’d love to visit one day. I love seeing unique places like this! I would spend a lot of times with the mantas, I absolutely love them and they’re so cute.
I love it here! It’s such a great place to visit!
I’m such a history fan. I would definitely want to make sure and see Fort McHenry and the historic ships!
I love how you follow the baseballs to get to the Babe Ruth museum. I’d love to visit and take my baseball loving grandkids with me.
This looks like such a fun trip. I would love to visit with my family.
I would love to go to all of these places. I’ve never been to Maryland before. I love history, so I am all about museums and historic ships.
I love going to places I’ve never been before to learn more history about this great country we live in.
Thanks for sharing. My husband would love to see all that about Babe Ruth.
These attractions look like they would be so much fun to visit! I think I would love to go to the aquarium first because I love seeing sea life and being so close to it.
