Back to School Supplies

By Heather

Affiliate links are included below and we received some samples, but only recommend items we love.

Chances are you have received a list of some sort for all your school supplies. My daughter had a page-long list, while I only had to purchase 3 items for my second grader. The only thing we have left to shop for is clothing before school starts next Tuesday. Less than a week until it’s back to the grind. While I’m sad to say goodbye to summer, it’s time.

One of my favorite things about back to school season is the shopping. Surprising, I know. We found a few items you may not know about and wanted to share. Some of these finds surprised us. Highlighters that can be erased?! Games that are both fun and educational? Read on for all the details.

Wonder Melon

Wonder Melon

If you've ever attended a fancy brunch, you may have enjoyed watermelon juice. It is so delicious! Now you can enjoy it at home, and on the go. This 8 1/2 ounce bottle is the perfect size and shape for lunchboxes and you can feel great about giving your kids a 100% organic cold-pressed juice with no added sugar, artificial ingredients, or artificial colorings. Available in two varieties: Watermelon Cucumber Basil is a delightfully cool concoction of real Watermelon Lemon Cayenne, both 100 calories or under! Buy Wonder Melon here

Super Genius Learning Games

Super Genius Learning Games

It's always great when you can make learning fun. Super Genius games from Blue Orange are great for reinforcement at home or even a gift to your child's classroom. There are several game types available from ABCs to reading and multiplication. Buy Super Genius Games here.

Ooly Mini Magic Liners Erasable Highlighters

Ooly Mini Magic Liners Erasable Highlighters

We never knew highlights could be erased until we saw these. This set of six bold and bright colored and double-ended highlighters lets you highlight all the important things in your notes and textbooks with one end and lets you erase any mistakes using the other end! Buy Mini Magic Liners Erasable Highlighters here

Ooly notebooks and pencil pouch

Ooly notebooks and pencil pouch

We love Ooly for school supplies, especially this On the Go Zipper Pencil Pouch with an elasticized strap for attaching your pencil case to almost any notebook. This double-sided notebook is pretty cool too. One side features lined pages and flip the book over for blank sheets for sketching. Buy the pencil pouch here and the Flipside notebook here

trücup low-acid coffee

trücup low-acid coffee

For all the moms and dads, and older students, trücup low-acid coffee will keep you running without all of the acid that can upset our stomachs. Most low-acid coffees don't taste quite the same as the original but we are pleased with the flavor of this bold roast. Plus, the single serve cups are compostable! Buy trücup low-acid coffee here

Teacher planters

Teacher planters

Because the beginning of the school year is when you buy the teacher a gift! I love that it's a set of 3 so you can stretch your dollar further by separating out to several teachers. Buy the teacher planters here.

What’s on your back to school shopping list?

We homeschool with one who attends online charter school as well, so no school supply lists this year. It will be our first year homeschooling two of the kids, so we’ll have to use your list of ideas to help us make it through our year of schooling at home.
