Summer is winding down, and as much as I hate to face that fact I find myself looking forward to the kids going back to school. I remember being filled with anxiety on the first day of school and so I thought it might be a nice ice breaker to create a printable to help break the ice.

One of the more exciting and also nerve-wracking things for kids as they start the new school year is getting to know their teacher. I thought it would be nice to send the kids in to school with a little information about them so that their teacher can get a head start at knowing their new student. So I put together this printable, Getting to know me. Work on filling it out with your child and send him or her to school with it on the first day!
If you are a teacher, you might like to print and distribute to your class. Either way, I hope you find it useful. Here’s to a great school year!

I love that “Getting to Know Me” printable. It is a great way to start the school year. Giving the teacher valuable pieces of information would make it easier for them to give special attention to kids having difficulty in certain areas of learning.
