Moments after I found out that my first child was a girl, I went shopping. On my way back to work I made a quick pit stop at a children’s clothing store just to pick out a few cute dresses that I could picture her one day wearing. And in about a year’s time, she did. I still remember those dresses even though that was a lifetime ago.
You can find cute pretty much anywhere. These days I look not only for beautiful designs, but great quality as well. I want pieces that will last a few seasons, only parting with them when she grows out of them and we pass it on. My kids are hard on their clothes so this really matters; the quality of the fabric determines how well it will resist tears and stains.
Boden is a clothing brand made by the Brits, as evidenced by their unique patterns and great style. The children’s styles are broken down into three branches of the brand: baby boden (0-4 years), mini boden (2-12 years) and johnny now (5-16 years).
When perusing the new Fall collection, I fell in love. Many of the new fashions are very English countryside. I narrowed it down to three dresses: Jersey Swing, Frill Twirly and the plaid Shirt Dress. We also ordered the Cosy Everyday Cardigan and two pairs of Essential Leggings. I squealed with excitement when the package arrived at my door.
Before ordering, I made sure to measure a few times. Everything fit very nicely but the shirt dress was a little small, so we will be exchanging it for the next size up. I am thankful for Boden’s worry-free shipping policy which offers free shipping both ways on all orders over $49!
Emma is thankful for the ultra-cozy tag free clothing and hip styles. I paired her dresses with her newest kicks, a pair of cowboy boots that I snagged during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale. She felt like a little fashionista modeling and posing for me, and me? I think she looks gorgeous and just perfectly (and modestly) dressed for back to school.
