If there’s something that will put me into the exercising mood, great quality fitness gear will do it. Shopping for the supplies always puts me in the right mind set for a workout routine.
I’ve done kickboxing, spinning, and even body boot camp in the past. It’s that type of strenuous activity that really burns the calories, but then I find that I burn out soon after and end up quitting too soon. One exercise that I find much easier to stick with is Pilates. It’s much like yoga, and it burns more calories than you think, but in a much less intimidating way.
You don’t need too many accessories to get started with Yoga or Pilates, but there are a few key materials you should have. The main must-have, a great yoga mat. Aurorae yoga carries a premium yoga mat which is extra long and extra thick. When you’re lying down on a hard surface, a thick mat makes quite a difference.
The Aurorae Yoga Mat is beautiful. It’s varying golden shades remind me of the skyline at sunset, it evokes the peaceful feeling you need to make the most out of your yoga workout. To further the good kharma, it is made of Eco-Safe Material, Biodegradable and Phthalates free.
To keep from slipping a sliding around on the mat, you use a slip-free Rosin bag. It will absorb any sweat so that you can maintain a stable and strong position.
Speaking of all that sweating, and not to mention the dirt from the floor that will end up on your mat, there is Yoga mat wash. I never knew this existed. It’s a dream come true for germ-a-phobes like me.
These three products when bundled together cost about $60. There are many other great accessories available, but these basics will get you started. Keep an eye out for an Aurorae giveaway coming soon to Girl Gone Mom!
No compensation was received for this post. I was sent the products to try at no cost to me, but the opinions above are my own.
