Real Agent Guard for Agent Safety

By Heather

Acorn Disclosure

It’s been about 10 years, what seems like a lifetime ago when I used to work in marketing for a home builder. My team worked to support our sales agents who were on site selling homes out of trailers. Some communities were very rural and quite deserted. Not all of the managers were lucky enough to have assistants on site and we’d had several incidents that caused anxiety amongst our sales team which have alerted us to consider agent safety. I mean, can you imagine being along in an unlocked trailer all day long and into the night, where strangers are constantly walking through the door?

Real Agent Guard

One of my best friends still works for this builder and it’s worrisome to think of her sitting there by herself on occasion. We all think we’ve got a handle on situations but you just never know who may be walking through your door next and why. My worries were exacerbated when an agent in another state was murdered during what was believed to be a robbery.

Real Agent Guard is an app that was created to protect real estate agents from potential dangers, whatever they may be. It features a FailSafe PIN, geolocation tracker, and timer based check-ins. Real Agent Guard’s goal is to raise awareness about the app and the video surveillance.

We now live in one of the rural communities my friend represented. Most of us in the neighborhood use security systems to keep our homes safe. Our properties are each on several acres of space so counting on a neighborhood watch program alone just won’t cut it. Real Agent Guard is for anyone interested in adding the luxury of protecting to your surroundings and reinforcing safety.

Real Agent Guard

The app is color coded as follows.

Red = agents
Blue = friends and family
Green = enterprise.

If the agent fails to login after a small amount of time, it alerts someone who calls them to check in.  If something does go wrong, they can forward all info to the police. Simply reading about it won’t give you the best idea of how this app works, so check out Real Agent Guard in action. Who wouldn’t want to use an app that helps keep them safe?

    Something like this is long overdue. I imagine many agents have been in situations that made them feel unsafe.

    As a visiting nurse, I would have loved this. It would have allowed family to know where I was and my feel safer! This is great!

    No such thing as being too safe! Who knows what could happen, this sounds really good.

    This sounds amazing. I need to tell my hubby he may want to look into this. He is thinking about going to be an agent – he got an amazing job offer and this would be a good peace of mind!

    I just heard about another missing agent the other day. This app could save lives.

    Safety is a top priority to a lot of people. I can see this being very handy to have.

    I never thought about agent safety to be honest but now that I read this I am kind of shocked. Something like this should be mandatory as you just never know no a days who anyone is. Something like this would make me eel a little better about loved ones being around strangers all day knowing they are protecting themselves.

    This is a great idea. I always wondered how real estate agents were safe when they were alone with strangers in strange places.

    I think this is super important for their safety! Because you just never know…
