My kids love seeing animals and sea life. We visit Adventure Aquarium a few times per year and there is always something new and interesting to see. The aquarium is located along the waterfront in Camden, which affords us amazing views of the Philadelphia skyline, Delaware River and bridges.
Emma and Ryan run immediately to the tanks to see the fish upon entering. As we walked through we found turtles, croccodiles, lobster, seahorses, tropical fish, and so much more.
We made our way over to the divers who taught us about different hand signals used to communicate under the water. Then Emma volunteered to try on a dive vest. Unfortunately I did not get a great photo of that, but the kids did have a blast high-fiving the divers through the glass.
There really is a wide variety of activities here. The kids zone can provide hours of fun. There are lots of fun ways to play and wonderful photo opps like this one of the kids on Lizzie the Hippo. Did you know Hippos can’t swim or float?
Speaking of Hippos, you can now see them clearly in the Hippo Haven thanks to the brand new filtration system that was installed and the fantastic new lighting. Even though the hippos were not in the mood to swim by the glass during our visit, we could still see them laying in the water which is an amazing improvement from before!
My favorite scenes are of the jellyfish. They are so beautiful and graceful. And some of them, deadly. We had such an amazing time and we cannot wait to return.

My kids have been asking to go back to Adventure Aquarium (we’ve only been there once) because while we were there, Hippo Haven was under construction. It looks awesome, and we’d love to see it!

My kids would LOVE to see the hippos at the aquarium! We’ve heard such great things and have never been even though it’s so close!

I would bring my three kids with me to the aquarium and we’d be looking forward to seeing the divers through the glass as well as the jellyfish and seahorses.

This looks great. When we lived in MD it was pre kids but they had an awesome aquarium.
