Calendar
Do you use an actual paper calendar? We keep ours on the fridge, and I try to jot down important dates, but when I fail to check the calendar, things get forgotten. I’ve been using the built-in calendar on my Palm instead. It works just like your outlook calendar. Add the event name to the date on your calendar, set the time and location and tell it how far in advance you want to be reminded.
I like that it blocks out the time taken up by a particular occurrence, so in the instance that I might have two or more things scheduled (gasp!), I can see clear picture of the day. You can even set the event to be recurring, such as your weekly weigh-in. Or, sync your phone with your web mail calendars. Your paper calendar certainly won’t do all of this.
Tasks
My list of to-dos is about a mile long at present. The tasks application is built right into the Palm Pre Plus, and it has been extremely helpful. There you can not only create a list with notes but set the priority, and even a due date so that you’ll receive a friendly reminder.
This is a wonderful tool that I often use for my grocery shopping lists, questions for my pediatrician on well visits, and for party planning.
This application is great for quick little notes and reminders, and it looks just like a bulletin board with paper notes. What’s really nifty is that you can change the color of your notes, choosing from yellow, green, blue or pink.
This has really been a life saver for me. I hate being unorganized, not to mention the clutter caused by sticky notes. It’s nice having all of the little reminders in one place. No fuss, and no MESS.
Of course, there are a myriad of other helpful apps to get you living in an organized fashion – just use browse through the app catalog.
No compensation was received for this post. I did receive a Palm Pre Plus 3G smartphone and one month of service from Verizon, to facilitate my candid review. I hope you find it to be helpful.
