We had the pleasure of visiting Jenkinson’s Boardwalk last Saturday. On that morning, the weather was iffy. There was a chance of storms in the forecast throughout the day but we decided to head to the shore anyway. It was drizzling when we arrived, so our first stop was Jenkinson’s Aquarium, which is perfect for a rainy day or a super hot day on the boardwalk.
Jenkinson’s has a fantastic variety of sea life to see; we always enjoy ourselves there. The kids loved everything, from the turtles to the seals, but they probably spent the most time near the touch tank.
I was enamored with the moon jellies. Couldn’t you just sit and watch this for hours?
We spent a few hours at the aquarium before heading out for lunch. Here are my little penguins on our way out. See those smiles? Evidence of time well spent!
Since it was raining on and off until we left, we didn’t get to enjoy the beach or the bath house, but the weather improved enough for the rides so we headed over just when they opened at noon.
It was then when I realized just how lucky we were to get this cloudy day on the boardwalk. The clouds kept the crowds away and we were not too hot running from ride to ride.
After the rides, we were able to muster up a bit more energy for a game of mini golf.
We had such a fun time visiting Jenkinson’s Boardwalk, and we can’t wait to return this summer!
