During our last vacation in Walt Disney World we were on the Disney Dining Plan. We loved the food in Magic Kingdom. From the quick-service meals to the table service restaurants, most everything was delicious and top-quality. A few places that we were looking forward to trying were unfortunately closed, but thankfully there were lots of others to choose from. But hands down, our favorite way to eat through the park is by snacking. These were our favorite snacks to enjoy at Magic Kingdom. Not only are they delicious treats, but they make the most of your snack credits.
Mickey Pretzel – Found at the Lunching Pad
The kids love their carbs- we all do. One day when we had a larger gap between meals, these soft pretzels were a great way to tide us over. They’re huge, and Mickey-shaped! What’s not to love?
Ice Cream Sandwich – Found at Plaza Ice Cream Parlour
This was on my must-try snack list and I’m so glad I did. This sandwich is made with two fresh baked cookies with the ice cream flavor of your choice in the middle. I could not finish it.
Dole Whip – Found in Aloha Isle
I tried one of these in 2011 when in town for Disney Social Media Moms Conference. At that time I tried the float. This time we got two – a Vanilla/Pineapple Dole Whip Float and an Orange Vanilla Twist which was our favorite. It was a 30-minute wait and worth every second.
Starbucks – Found at Main Street Bakery
Even though I never had a chance to visit while there, this is a great new option for coffee lovers and also a great use of snack credits considering the prices at Starbucks.
Fruit Smoothie @ Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies
We enjoy daily smoothies when we’re home, so it was a natural decision for us to pick one up after our 4,000th time on the Buzz Lightyear ride.
What we didn’t like —
As much as we loved meeting Gaston, we didn’t care for LeFou’s Brew. From what I hear, people either love it or hate it and we didn’t care for it. To describe it, it’s like a fruity soda drink with foam on top. We threw it out after a few sips.
If you can’t eat it there, bring it home
Despite all of the delicious snack options, we had 9 snack credits remaining at the end of our trip. It was hard work eating all of the food we were entitled to. It would be a huge waste of our dollars to let them all go to waste, so on our last evening in the park I stopped at Main Street Confectionery. I was told that any snack under five dollars could be redeemed as a snack credit so I picked up some fun (and so delicious!) mickey-shaped rice crispy treats, lollipops and trail mix for the trip home. These all make great gifts for friends!

Great tips. My sister is taking my 7yo son & myself to Disney in August for his 8th birthday. It’s a surprise for him. These tips will come in big time handy! Thank you.

I agree with a few of those. The pretzel and the dole whip definitley, but we are fans of the Mickey’s Premium ice cream bars and there are these nutella waffles at Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square that are by far the best food item in all of Disney ;)

I almost put the Mickey bars on there. We’ll have to try the waffles next time!
