A few Sundays ago I had some local friends over for a little Oscars party. They didn’t come to watch the main event though.
This is what they came for:
And who could blame ‘em? As a dieter who enjoys a good cocktail, I couldn’t wait to dig and try this reduced calorie line of adult beverages.
The White Cranberry Cosmo was the first to go. I mixed up several cocktails based on the recipes provided. First we had The Starlet, which is cucumber vodka, club soda and cranberry juice. Then I made The Showstopper. Mainly what makes these cocktails “skinny” is the addition of very little cranberry juice. That also makes the drinks a tad strong so we used more cranberry than what was called for. It was a school night, after all :)
To be honest, I’m not even sure which this one was, because we kept adding cranberry to everything.
To help soak up the alcohol, I served up a spread of mostly-healthy appetizers including crudite, tuna fish cucumbers, hummus, cheese and crackers, buffalo chicken dip and swedish meatballs.
I had Oscars related games ready, but we don’t get together as often as we’d like so we just want to chat, and that’s what we did. The Oscars got very little attention from this crowd.
Before the event, I taped together this step and repeat. It wasn’t quite big enough for all of us, but we made the best of it!

Too funny that you added cranberry to everything! We had fun at my party too, but we pretty much broke into all the bottles!
I love SkinnyGirl! I have gotten their wine a few times and really liked it – and I especially liked that it was less calories! Looks like you ladies had fun.
