Since baby can't use blankets like you do, it's nice to have a wearable alternative that will keep him or her warm through the night that can't be kicked off. It took a while to get into the baby bathing groove with Emma. Even when we found our best method -- a sling set into the kitchen sink, there needed to be two people involved in the process. It was slippery and difficult to keep her in place. This is Emma getting washed up inside our kitchen sink at about 3 months of age. That first night at home with your new baby can be quite intimidating. I remember the feeling, and it's completely normal I'm sure. There are no doctors or nurses to check in on you to make sure you're doing everything correctly, and I'm pretty sure we got no sleep at all that night. It's funny how your views on certain products can change with baby number two. While at my shower I received a baby carrier, I only used it maybe twice at the most. Once only to make room in my small shopping cart at Home Goods. It was easier before, in my opinion, to just plop Emma into her travel system and go.
